PJ Magnotta grew up in the construction industry and is now the third generation of the Magnotta family to operate the company. From high school through college, he worked as a laborer and truck driver for Magnotta.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Scranton, PJ further prepared himself for the family business by attending courses in Construction at Penn State Worthington.

PJ has been with Magnotta Construction Co. since 1966, holding various positions during his long tenure, including Field Superintendent, Estimator, General Manager and Vice-President before ascending to the Presidency in 1986.

During PJ's tenure, Magnotta Construction Co. has expanded from general contracting into design / build and construction management.  The diversification by Magnotta into pre-engineered buildings was orchestrated by PJ in 1969. This move has allowed the company to grow into a consistent top 10 dealer for Steelox Systems Inc. during the past 10 years and also as one of the top 125 metal building dealers in the USA for the past 10 years as reported by Metal Construction News.

Magnotta Construction Co. currently operates in Northeast Pennsylvania and Southern New York State with offices in Scranton, PA and Chester, NY.
